Goldfish & Bay, in collaboration with PLUS Architects and Greenaway Architects, presents Baia, a pioneering development in Rhodes, NSW. This competition-winning design aims to create a sustainable and culturally rich urban community.

Situated on a prime site within the Rhodes Peninsula, Baia balances modern convenience with cultural heritage. The design interweaves elements of Water, Ground, and Sky Country, reflecting our consultation with Greenaway Architects. This approach results in a design that respects and vividly represents the area's cultural heritage.

The mixed-use precinct will house 277 apartments, a childcare facility, and retail amenities, with convenient access to Rhodes Train Station, parklands, and waterways.

The design features a podium that mimics eroded Hawkesbury sandstone and a tower articulated as separated 'community blocks,' reducing visual mass and modulating form. Native flora and fauna are integrated to reflect the natural landscape, seamlessly blending with the Rhodes Peninsula topography. Advanced hydraulic services by Goldfish & Bay ensure sustainability and efficient water management.

Baia is a testament to modern architectural practices that honor cultural narratives while providing cutting-edge urban living solutions, setting a benchmark for future developments in the region.
