Our collaboration with Deicorp and GroupGSA on the Proximity Apartments in Rouse Hill exemplifies this vision, creating a unique blend of serene retreat and vibrant urban connectivity.
Situated in the heart of Sydney's beautiful Hills Shire, Proximity is located at 9 Civic Way, just minutes away from the new Rouse Hill Town Centre and metro station. This award-winning development is a collection of six freestanding buildings with a total of 375 residences, offering an apartment mix of one, two, and three-bedroom units. Designed with a modern and innovative approach, Proximity brings luxury and comfort to everyday living.
The architecture and design for Proximity, led by GroupGSA, focus on blending high-quality dwellings into the broader Rouse Hill Precinct. The varying building heights step down from Windsor Road to Civic Way, ensuring harmony with the surrounding architecture while maintaining an inviting, pedestrian-friendly streetscape. The taller buildings near Windsor Road serve as urban markers, defining the southern gateway to the Rouse Hill Town Centre, while the lower-scale podiums near Civic Way blend in beautifully with the neighboring townhouses.
Our contribution to the project included hydraulic design and wet fire services—essential to ensuring that the infrastructure meets the highest safety standards while contributing to the overall livability of the development. From water supply systems to fire safety measures, we provided the engineering solutions that support a safe and comfortable residential environment.
Proximity has garnered industry recognition for its excellence, including being named a finalist in the 2024 UDIA NSW Awards for Excellence in the Urban Property Group Awards for Excellence - Apartments (Mid Rise) category and earning the Highly Commended Transit Oriented Development at the Urban Taskforce Awards 2023. These accolades reflect the project's outstanding achievements in areas like technology, sustainability, and community development—setting it apart as a benchmark for quality in residential design.
