New Chilled & Fresh Distribution Centre at Light Horse Interchange Business Hub

A new chilled and fresh distribution centre has received approval from the NSW Department of Planning to be constructed at the Light Horse Interchange Business Hub, located at 165 Wallgrove and 475 Ferrers Road in Eastern Creek.

This expansive facility will cover more than 75,000 square meters, featuring:

Ground Floor: 31,818 sqm dedicated to a fresh distribution centre
Upper Level: 24,560 sqm allocated to a chilled distribution centre
Mezzanine Level: 4,741 sqm for staff amenities
Ancillary Buildings: 14,724 sqm supporting the overall operations
Additionally, the centre will include a return transfer facility with a B-double drive-through and a 4-storey car park accommodating 762 vehicles.

Designed to maximize efficiency, the facility integrates both chilled and fresh distribution within a single warehouse, eliminating the need for multiple sites. Equipped with advanced refrigeration systems, this new hub will help extend the shelf life of fresh produce and reduce food wastage.

This project is a strategic response to the current and anticipated challenges in the supply chain. With existing facilities in Minchinbury operating at full capacity and the Arndell Park centre nearing its limit, this new hub is crucial for ensuring the long-term viability of operations.

The Light Horse Interchange Business Hub is ideally positioned near the M4 and M7, providing seamless access to key transport routes across Sydney and beyond. As part of the expansive Western Sydney Parklands, this hub offers an optimal location for large-scale distribution and industrial activities.
