Building a Future Together: Goldfish & Bay’s Role in Transforming Wollondilly Shire

Goldfish & Bay is proud to provide full hydraulic design services for the Wollondilly Shire Council Government Services Building, a key component of the Wollondilly Cultural Precinct (WCP) project in Picton. This new facility, alongside the future Village Green and Library, will serve as a central hub for Council operations, the local community, and broader service organizations, while generating $732 million in economic benefits for the region over the next 25 years.

As Wollondilly’s community is expected to double or even triple in size over the coming decades, the Government Services Building will provide the necessary space and infrastructure to accommodate a growing workforce. Designed with flexible workspaces, public amenities, and commercial lettable areas, the building will support efficient service delivery and modern functionality, ensuring a strong foundation for the region's future growth.

The current Council Administration Building, after 47 years, is nearing the end of its life, both structurally and operationally. The new four-storey facility will replace it, offering enhanced working conditions for Council staff while fostering civic engagement and stimulating business activity in the heart of Picton. The project will also create 166 jobs during construction and 430 jobs annually throughout its operation, fueling long-term economic growth for the community.
