Leading Goldfish & Bay’s Lebanon Team: Sally Saliba’s Architectural Impact
If you ask sally saliba where it all began, she'll tell you it started in the vibrant halls of the Lebanese American University, where architecture wasn't just a subject but a calling. There, amid sketches and blueprints, she found herself on the Dean’s distinction list, driven by the idea that built spaces could sustain life and inspire change.
Her journey wasn’t a straight path. It twisted and turned through local studios and under the guidance of visiting architects from abroad—each encounter adding a new layer to her understanding of design. Early internships became rites of passage, not just for honing technical skills in AutoCAD, Revit, or 3D Max, but for mastering teamwork, articulating ideas clearly, and learning to bear responsibility alone.
By 2015, Sally was managing projects for Agostine And Raphael Group, navigating the demands of residential towers and commercial spaces with a mix of ambition and pragmatism. Her approach was always about seeing beyond projects—how form complements function and how every decision ripples into a broader impact.
In 2020, Sally stepped into the role of Lebanon Division Manager at Goldfish & Bay’s Lebanon office. Her challenge? Transforming a modest operation into a thriving, dynamic team. But growth for Sally was about more than expansion—it meant creating a culture of trust and motivation, guiding projects with a steady hand, and ensuring that each team member felt inspired.
Her work spans some of Lebanon’s most notable projects. There’s the Royal Tulip Hotel in Achrafieh, where she led the intricate dance of design and construction, coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors to bring a five-star vision to life. Then there’s Hawkesbury Rd in Westmead, where she approached hydraulic systems with technical precision and attention to detail. And there’s Tripoli Fair by Oscar Niemeyer, where she integrated sustainable design into a historic site, emphasizing energy efficiency and conservation.
But beneath the achievements lies a person who finds joy in quieter corners of life. Sally’s love for sculpting metal into artful creations, a craft that’s both raw and refined, has earned her spots in local gallery exhibits.
Sally’s philosophy is simple: Lead by example. It’s not just a motto but a practice that drives her every decision. She’s not just building structures but shaping minds and guiding her team toward a culture of excellence. Her story at Goldfish & Bay isn’t just about leading projects—it’s about the people she leads, the spaces she shapes, and the difference she makes, one project at a time.
